The Jubilee Initiative for Financial Inclusion (JIFFI) is a nonprofit community financial services provider founded by University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's students. The organization aims to replace predatory lending that perpetuates poverty in South Bend.

Hannah's House is nonprofit home that offers a safe place for pregnant women to live during their pregnancy. The reputation of Hannah’s House has grown from a shelter for pregnant teens to an outreach ministry that provides a safe home, emotional support and programming to assist pregnant women of all ages in “getting their lives together”.

Pet Refuge is a not-for-profit "no-kill" animal shelter established in April 1978. Pet Refuge is run by volunteers for the placement of unwanted and abandoned pets into responsible permanent homes. There is a waiting list to intake all animals that come into the shelter. Pet Refuge will try to help as many cats and dogs as possible; however, pet overpopulation is a growing problem in the South Bend community.

A Rosie Place is Indiana’s first licensed, not-for-profit, specialty hospital dedicated exclusively to serving the growing number of families of children who are medically fragile. In a safe and nurturing environment, A Rosie Place provides a haven for children who are medically fragile while providing family members periods of relief from the demands of twenty-four hour care. A Rosie Place is an extension of the child’s home. Care is provided by skilled nurses who have experience with children who have complex medical conditions and may require special equipment and treatments.

The Unity Gardens Inc. is a collaborative network of community gardens originated to increase the availability, awareness, and accessibility of healthy, locally grown food. Each Unity Garden has two criteria; diverse people coming together to grow food and a sharing component. The gardens provide food for any in need & bring diverse people together to grow, harvest, share, and eat healthy food. The Unity Gardens Inc. surrounds community gardens with the resources and systems needed to ensure success with growing food while developing partnerships with area businesses, government, universities, schools, churches, nonprofits, and neighbors.
